Spirit of the Living God fall afresh on me

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me.

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me.

Galilee Song

Verse 1
Deep within my heart, I feel voices whispering to me.
Words that I can’t understand; meanings I must clearly hear!
Calling me to follow close, lest I leave myself behind!
Calling me to walk into evening shadows one more time!
Chorus
So I leave my boats behind!
Leave them on familiar shores!
Set my heart upon the deep!
Follow you again, my Lord! (rpt)
Verse 2
In my memories, I know how you send familiar rains
Falling gently on my days, dancing patterns on my pain!
And I need to learn once more in the fortress of my mind,
To believe in falling rain as I travel deserts dry!
Chorus
Verse 3
As I gaze into the night down the future of my years,
I’m not sure I want to walk past horizons that I know!
And I need to learn once more like a stirring deep within,
Restless, ’til I live again beyond the fears that close me in!
Chorus

The power of your love

By Hillsong - https://youtu.be/H9_0jiO5ZRM

Lord I come to You
Let my heart be changed, renewed
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord I've come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me.
Lord renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my life
In living every day
In the power of Your love.

The whole world is waiting for Love

We’re waiting for Jesus like Mary,
We’re waiting for Jesus the Lord.

Refrain
Come down, Lord Jesus!
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
The whole world is waiting for Love,
The whole world is waiting for Love.

We’re laying a manger for Mary,
A manger for Jesus the Lord.

Refrain

We’re making it lovely for Mary,
So lovely for Jesus the Lord.

While shepherds watched their flocks by night

1 While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
all seated on the ground,
an angel of the Lord came down,
and glory shone around.

2 "Fear not," said he for mighty dread
had seized their troubled mind
"glad tidings of great joy I bring
to you and all mankind.

3 "To you, in David's town, this day
is born of David's line
a Savior, who is Christ the Lord;
and this shall be the sign:

4 "The heavenly babe you there shall find
to human view displayed,
all simply wrapped in swaddling clothes
and in a manger laid."

5 Thus spoke the angel. Suddenly
appeared a shining throng
of angels praising God, who thus
addressed their joyful song:

6 "All glory be to God on high,
and to the earth be peace;
to those on whom his favor rests
goodwill shall never cease."

Magnificat (David Haas)

Refrain: All that I am sings of the God who brings new life to birth in me.
My spirit soars on the wings of my Lord.

1. My soul gives glory to the Lord, rejoicing in my saving God,
who looks upon me in my state, and all the world will call me blest;
For God works marvels in my sight, and holy, holy is God's name.

2. God's mercy is from age to age, on those who follow in fear;
Whose arm is power and strength, and scatters all the proud of heart;
Who casts the mighty from their thrones and raises up the lowly ones!

3. God fills the starving with good things, the rich are left with empty hands;
Protecting all the faithful ones, remembering Israel with mercy,
the promise known to those before and to their children for ever!

Our Lady of Fatima

Dear Lady of Fatima, we come on bended knee
To beg your intercession, for peace and unity.
Dear Mary, won’t you show us, the right and shining way?
We pledge our love and offer you a rosary each day.

You promised at Fatima each time that you appeared
To help us if we pray to you to banish war and fear.
Dear Lady on first Saturdays, we ask your guiding hand
For grace and guidance here on earth and protection for our land.

Hail Queen of Heaven, the Ocean Star

Hail, Queen of heaven, the ocean star,
Guide of the wanderer here below,
Thrown on life's surge, we claim thy care,
Save us from peril and from woe.
Mother of Christ, O Star of the sea
Pray for the wanderer, pray for me.

O gentle, chaste, and spotless Maid,
We sinners make our prayers through thee;
Remind thy Son that He has paid
The price of our iniquity.
Virgin most pure, O star of the sea,
Pray for the sinner, pray for me.

Sojourners in this vale of tears,
To thee, blest advocate, we cry;
Pity our sorrows, calm our fears,
And sooth with hope our misery.
Refuge in grief, star of the sea,
Pray for the mourner, pray for me.

And while to Him Who reigns above
In Godhead one, in Persons three,
The Source of life, of grace, of love,
Homage we pay on bended knee:
Do thou, bright Queen, O star of the sea,
Pray for thy children, pray for me.

Without Seeing You

Music and lyrics by David Haas

Without seeing You we love You.
Without touching You we embrace.
Without knowing You we follow.
Without seeing You we believe.

We return to you deep within,
leave the past to the dust.
Turn to you with tears and fasting,
You are ready to forgive. (Refrain)

The sparrow will find a home
near to you oh God.
How happy we who dwell with you,
forever in your house. (Refrain)
For ever we sing to you
of your goodness, O God;
proclaiming to all the world
of your faithfulness and love. (Refrain)
For you are our shepherd
there is nothing that we need.
In green pastures we will find our rest,
near the waters of peace. (Refrain)

Lord I need you

https://youtu.be/gS9e0nxHP-w
Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
You're my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace) - Hillsong

Intro:

(repeat)

Verse 1
All these pieces
Broken and scattered
In mercy gathered
Mended and whole
Empty handed
But not forsaken
I've been set free
I've been set free

Pre-Chorus 1
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I am found
Was blind but now I see

Chorus
Oh I can see You now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying Yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

Verse 2
You take our failure
You take our weakness
You set Your treasure
In jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord
I'll be Your vessel
The world to see
Your life in me

Pre-chorus 1

Shepherd me O God

Refrain
Shepherd me, O God, beyond my wants,
beyond my fears, from death into life.

1. God is my shepherd, so nothing I shall want,
I rest in the meadows of faithfulness and love,
I walk by the quiet waters of peace.

2. Gently you raise me and heal my weary soul,
you lead me by pathways of righteousness and truth,
my spirit shall sing the music of your Name.

3. Though I should wander the valley of death,
I fear no evil, for you are at my side,
your rod and your staff, my comfort and my hope.

4. You have set me a banquet of love in the face of hatred,
crowning me with love beyond my pow'r to hold.

5. Surely your kindness and mercy follow me all the days of my life;
I will dwell in the house of my God forevermore.

Holy God, we praise Thy Name

Nice one sung by Michael Card - https://youtu.be/J3Nh_vy0J-Y

Holy God, we praise Thy Name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee!
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in Heaven above adore Thee;
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.

Hark! the loud celestial hymn
angel choirs above are raising,
cherubim and seraphim,
in unceasing chorus praising;
fill the heavens with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord.

Holy Father, Holy Son,
Holy Spirit, Three we name thee;
while in essence only One,
undivided God we claim thee;
and adoring bend the knee,
while we own the mystery.

Lo! the apostolic train
join the sacred Name to hallow;
prophets swell the loud refrain,
and the white robed martyrs follow;
and from morn to set of sun,
through the Church the song goes on.

Salve Regina

Salve, Regina, mater misericordiae:
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.
Ad te clamamus, exsules, filii Hevae.
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
in hac lacrimarum valle.
Eia ergo, Advocata nostra,
illos tuos misericordes oculos
ad nos converte.
Et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,
nobis, post hoc exsilium ostende.
O clemens: O pia: O dulcis
Virgo Maria.

Jesus Christ You are my life

Final: Jesus Christ, You are my life
Jesus Christ, you are my life, Alleluia, Alleluia
Jesus Christ, you are my life, you are my life Alleluia

1. Be our way, our truth, and our life
Form us anew in how you died.
We embrace the cross that you bore,
and will arise in glory

2. Holy fire, come dwell in each heart.
Grant us the gifts your love imparts.
Free our tongues to boldly proclaim
"Jesus is Lord for-ev-er!"

Come with Praise

Refrain
Come with praise, people of God!
Come with your heart’s thanksgiving.
Sing for joy, house of the lord! Sing of your bounteous blessing!

Come, you poor of the land, all who live with hearts of hunger,
Come and taste the love of the lord and you will be filled. (refrain)

Come, you captives of fear, all who bear the yoke of hatred,
God has heard the cry of your soul and broken your chains. (refrain)

Come you wounded and worn, all who know the face of sorrow,
God will heal the pain of your heart and gladden your soul. (refrain)

All the desert will bloom, peace and justice with flower,
Every blessing of heaven and earth will come to those who wait.

All People That on Earth Do Dwell

1. All people that on earth do dwell,
sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
Him serve with mirth, his praise forth tell;
come ye before him and rejoice.

2. Know that the Lord is God indeed;
without our aid he did us make;
we are his folk, he doth us feed,
and for his sheep he doth us take.

3. O enter then his gates with praise;
approach with joy his courts unto;
praise, laud, and bless his name always,
for it is seemly so to do.

4. For why! the Lord our God is good;
his mercy is forever sure;
his truth at all times firmly stood,
and shall from age to age endure.

Peace for our times

Peace for our times, Father we pray
Give to all people blessed peace
Peace firmly based upon your love
And built with grace sent from above

It is your love, O Christ alone
Which gives us strength to cast out fear
To make all people's pain our care
And with your aid, their burdens share

Strength for our lives, O Spirit, give
O come and fill our hearts today,
That we may answer Jesus' call
And bring your heav'nly peace to all

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav'nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

From all that dwell below the skies,
Let the Creator's praise arise;
Let the Redeemer's name be sung
Through ev'ry land by ev'ry one

Eternal are Thy mercies Lord;
And truth eternal is Thy Word;
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore
Till suns shall rise and set no more

Come Down, O Love Divine

Come down, O love divine,
seek thou this soul of mine,
and visit it with thine own ardor glowing;
O Comforter, draw near,
within my heart appear,
and kindle it, thy holy flame bestowing.

O let it freely burn,
till earthly passions turn
to dust and ashes in its heat consuming;
and let thy glorious light
shine ever on my sight,
and clothe me round, the while my path illuming.

And so the yearning strong,
with which the soul will long,
shall far outpass the power of human telling;
for none can guess its grace,
till Love create a place
wherein the Holy Spirit makes a dwelling.

Let holy charity
mine outward vesture be,
and lowliness become mine inner clothing;
true lowliness of heart,
which takes the humbler part,
and o'er its own shortcomings weeps with loathing.

Sing to the Mountain

Refrain:
Sing to the mountain, sing to the sea
Raise your voices, lift your hearts.
This is the day the Lord has made.
Let all the earth rejoice

Verse 1:
I will give thanks to you, my Lord.
You have answered my plea.
You have saved my soul from death
You are my strength and my song (Refrain)

Verse 2:
Holy, holy, holy Lord
Heaven and earth are full of Your glory (Refrain)

Verse 3:
This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us be glad and rejoice.
He has turned all death to life.
Sing of the glory of God. (Refrain)

O Sacrament Most Holy

Beautiful hymn - listen here

O Lord, I am not worthy
That Thou should'st come to me,
But speak the words of comfort,
My spirit healed shall be.

And humbly I'll receive Thee,
The Bridegroom of my soul,
No more by sin to grieve Thee,
Or fly Thy sweet control.

Eternal Holy Spirit,
Unworthy tho' I be,
Prepare me to receive Him,
And trust the Word to me.

Increase my faith dear Jesus
In Thy will presence here
And make me feel most deeply
That thou to me art near

O Sacrament most holy,
O Sacrament divine!
All praise and all thanksgiving
Be ev'ry moment Thine.

Jesus my Lord, my God, my all

How beautiful..  to our dear Lord Jesus - listen to the song here

Jesus my Lord, my God, my all
How can I love thee as I ought?
And how revere this wondrous gift
So far surpassing hope or thought?

Chorus:
    Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore
    Oh make us love Thee more and more
    Oh make us love Thee more and more.

Had I but Mary's sinless heart,
To love Thee with, my dearest King
Oh, with what bursts of fervent praise
Thy goodness Jesus, would I sing!

Ah, see within a creature's hand
The vast Creator deigns to be.
Reposing, infant-like, as though,
On Joseph's arms, on Mary's knee.

Thy body, soul, and Godhead, all
O mystery of love divine
I cannot compass all I have
For all thou hast and art are mine

Sound, sound His praises higher still
And come, ye angels, to our aid
'Tis God, 'tis God, the very God
Whose power both man and angels made.

Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he brings;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!

And then one day, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!

Song of the Body of Christ

Listen to the meditative song here

Refrain:
We come to share our story. We come to break the bread.
We come to know our rising from the dead.

1. We come as your people. We come as your own.
United with each other, love finds a home.

2. We are called to heal the broken, to be hope for the poor.
We are called to feed the hungry at our door.

3. Bread of life and cup of promise, In this meal we all are one.
In our dying and our rising, may your kingdom come.

4. You will lead and we shall follow.
ou will be the breath of life; living water, we are thirsting for your light.

5. We will live and sing your praises. "Alleluia" is our song.
May we live in love and peace our whole life long.

God of Mercy and Compassion

A beautiful and touching hymn to ask God for mercy... This Lenten hymn was written by English Redemptorist priest Edmund Vaughan (1827-1908)

God of mercy and compassion,
Look with pity upon me,
Father, let me call Thee Father,
'Tis Thy child returns to Thee.

Refrain:
Jesus, Lord, I ask for mercy;
Let me not implore in vain;
All my sins, I now detest them,
Never will I sin again.

By my sins I have deserved
Death and endless misery,
Hell with all its pains and torments,
And for all eternity.

By my sins I have abandoned
Right and claim to heav'n above.
Where the saints rejoice forever
In a boundless sea of love.

See our Saviour, bleeding, dying,
On the cross of Calvary;
To that cross my sins have nail'd Him,
Yet He bleeds and dies for me.

Blest are they

BLEST ARE THEY

by David Haas

1. Blest are they, the poor in spirit, theirs is the kingdom of God. Blest are they, full of sorrow, they shall be consoled.

REFRAIN: Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God!

2. Blest are they, the lowly ones, they shall inherit the earth. Blest are they who hunger and thirst, they shall have their fill. (REFRAIN)

3. Blest are they who show mercy, mercy shall be theirs. Blest are they, the pure of heart, they shall see God! (REFRAIN)

4. Blest are they who seek peace; they are the children of God. Blest are they who suffer in faith, the glory of God is theirs. (REFRAIN)

5. Blest are you who suffer hate, all because of me. Rejoice and be glad, yours is the kingdom; shine for all to see. (REFRAIN)

In Every Age

What a beautiful hymn... https://youtu.be/p2hJpxzVDzk
It might be that the subtle variations in the verses might be too much for the assembly, so a cantor might have to sing the verses and leave the chorus for everyone else.

Verse 1
Long before the mountains came to be
and the land and sea and stars of the night,
through the endless seasons of all time,
you have always been,
you will always be.
Refrain
In ev’ry age, O God, you have been our refuge.
In ev’ry age, O God, you have been our hope.
Verse 2
Destiny is cast, and at your silent word
we return to dust and scatter to the wind.
A thousand years are like a single moment gone,
as the light that fades
at the end of day.
Refrain
Verse 3
Teach us to make use of the time we have.
Teach us to be patient even as we wait.
Teach us to embrace our ev’ry joy and pain.
To sleep peacefully,
and to rise up strong.
Refrain
Refrain
You have been our refuge
You have been our hope.
