The Voice of God

The hymn reflects the themes of Isaiah 42 & 51 and focuses our praise with the acclamation “With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”.

1.
The voice of God goes out to all the world;
God's glory speaks across the universe.
The great King’s herald cries from star to star:
“With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”
2.
The Lord has said, “Receive my messenger,
my promise to the world, my pledge made flesh,
a lamp to every nation, light from light:
“With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”
3.
“The broken reed he will not trample down,
nor set his heel upon the dying flame.
he binds the wounds, and health is in his hand:
“With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”
4.
“Anointed with the Spirit and with power,
he comes to crown with comfort all the weak,
to show the face of justice to the poor:
“With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”
5.
“His touch will bless the eyes that darkness held,
the lame shall run, the halting tongue shall sing,
and prisoners laugh in light and liberty:
“With power, with justice, Christ will be the way!”

Dwelling Place

Check out the song here

1. I fall on my knees to the father of Jesus,
The Lord who has shown us the glory of God.

2. May he in his love give us strength for our living
The strength of his spirit the glory of God.

Refrain
May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts.
May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love.
3. May grace and peace be yours in God our father
and in his son (Refrain)

4. I fall on my knees to the father of Jesus,
The Lord who has shown us the glory of God (Refrain)

Lord Make Us Ready

Lord Make Us Ready

Chorus:
Lord, make us ready now to share this meal
Sign of our life in you
Lord, make us ready now to share this meal
Sign of our life in you

1. We bring you this food
Which bears the stain of human toil
This bread, hard won food of slavery
This bread which brings to mind each meal
Which men have shared in happiness
Lord, give it pow'r to make us free

2. We bring you this wine
The fruit of distant smoky hills
This wine, cool and red like ev'ning light
The cause of suffering
Yet the drink
That makes man's heart alive and warm
Lord, give it pow'r to make us free

Our God Reigns

Words & Music: Leonard E. Smith, 1974; arranged by Thomas E. Fettke & Stephen Beddia

Listen here
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of Him
Who brings good news, good news;
Announcing peace, proclaiming news of happiness:
Our God reigns, our God reigns!
Refrain
Our God reigns!
Our God reigns!
Our God reigns!
Our God reigns!
He had no stately form, He had no majesty
That we should be drawn to Him.
He was despised and we took no account of Him.
Our God reigns, our God reigns!
Refrain
It was our sin and guilt that bruised and wounded Him.
It was our sin that brought Him down.
When we like sheep had gone astray our Shepherd came
And on His shoulders bore our shame.
Refrain
Meek as a lamb that’s led out to the slaughterhouse,
Dumb as a sheep before its shearer,
His life ran down upon the ground like pouring rain
That we might be born again.
Refrain
Out from the tomb He came with grace and majesty;
He is alive, He is alive.
God loves us so, see here His hands, His feet, His side
Yes we know, He is alive.
Refrain
