#52 O Come Divine Messiah
Listen to the hymn here
1. O come, divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away.
Refrain:
Dear Savior haste;
Come, come to earth,
Dispel the night and show your face,
And bid us hail the dawn of grace.
O come, divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away.
2. O Christ, whom nations sigh for,
Whom priest and prophet long foretold,
Come break the captive fetters;
Redeem the long-lost fold (Ref)
3. You come in peace and meekness,
And lowly will your cradle be;
All clothed in human weakness
Shall we your Godhead see (Ref)

As the Deer
Listen to the hymn here
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee
Chorus
You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee
You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.
I love you more than any other,
So much more than anything.
I want You more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy Giver,
And the apple of my eye.
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee
Chorus
You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee
You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.

Do you have room?
Listen to the song here
They journeyed far, a weary pair;
They sought for shelter from the cold night air.
Some place where she could lay her head,
Where she could give her Babe a quiet bed.
Was there no room? No corner there?
In all the town a spot someone could spare?
Was there no soul come to their aid?
A stable bare was where the family stayed.
Refrain:
Do you have room for the Savior? And do you seek Him anew?
Have you a place for the One who lived and died for you?
Are you as humble as a shepherd boy, or as wise as men of old?
Would you have come that night? Would you have sought the light?
Do you have room?
A star arose, a wondrous light,
A sign from God – this was the holy night,
And yet so few would go to see
The Babe who came to rescue you and me.
This Child divine is now a King.
The gift of life to all the world He brings,
And all mankind He saves from doom,
But on that night, for Him, there was no room. (ref)

O Purest of Creatures
O Purest of Creatures, Sweet Mother, Sweet Maid
The one spotless womb wherein Jesus was laid!
Dark night had come down on us, Mother, and we
Look out for thy shining, sweet Star of the Sea!
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria (2x)
Earth gave him one lodging, 'twas deep in thy breast,
And God found a home where the sinner finds rest;
His home and his hiding place, both were in thee,
He was won by thy shining, sweet Star of the Sea!

Jesus Loves Me
A favourite one for the kids!
Key: C
Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak, but He is strong
Chorus
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
For the Bible tells me so
Jesus loves me, He who died
Heaven's gates to open wide
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in
Jesus loves me when I'm good,
When I do the things I should.
Jesus loves me when I'm bad,
Even though it makes him sad

Something Beautiful
A song from Mother Teresa's song book!
Key: G
1. Come with me into a world of poverty
Into a land where men are dying endlessly
Into a world of inhumanity
Can't you see they're starving where's your charity
They laugh and cry they're people just like you and me
They need help and not just sympathy
Chorus:
Show each one something beautiful for God above
Something beautiful to show your love
Something beautiful for God above
Something beautiful to show your love
2. A day goes by the night is long for everyone
A child is crying perhaps he'll live to see the sun
And yet he knows the morning may not come
Throughout the world our brothers live in poverty
They're everywhere if only we have eyes to see
So look around and find your sanity
3. Show to men the love that He has shown to you
and feed His lambs as He has fed each one of you
He loves them as much as He loves you

#427 Be Not Afraid
Listen to the hymn here
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.
R.
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.
2. If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that
I am with you through it all.
3. Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed are you!

Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee
Listen here
1 Joyful, joyful, we adore You,
God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flow'rs before You,
Op'ning to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
Drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness,
Fill us with the light of day!
2 All Your works with joy surround You,
Earth and heav'n reflect Your rays,
Stars and angels sing around You,
Center of unbroken praise;
Field and forest, vale and mountain,
Flow'ry meadow, flashing sea,
Chanting bird and flowing fountain
Praising You eternally!
3 Always giving and forgiving,
Ever blessing, ever blest,
Well-spring of the joy of living,
Ocean-depth of happy rest!
Loving Father, Christ our Brother,
Let Your light upon us shine;
Teach us how to love each other,
Lift us to the joy divine.
4 Mortals, join the mighty chorus,
Which the morning stars began;
God's own love is reigning o’er us,
Joining people hand in hand.
Ever singing, march we onward,
Victors in the midst of strife;
Joyful music leads us sunward
In the triumph song of life.

#404 In Christ Alone
In Him alone, we will all stand strong!
Listen here
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied -
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine -
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

Our Father will NEVER forget us. Based on Isaiah 49:15.
Listen to the hymn here
1. I will never forget you, my people;

Or a women the child within her womb?
Yet even if these forget,

I will not leave you orphaned.
I will never forget my own.

#411 All Are Welcome
Another lovely hymn from Marty Haugen - listen here
1. Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live,
a place where saints and children tell how hearts learn to forgive.
Built of hopes and dreams and visions, rock of faith and vault of grace;
here the love of Christ shall end divisions:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
2. Let us build a house where prophets speak, and words are strong and true,
where all God’s children dare to seek to dream God’s reign anew.
Here the cross shall stand as witness and as symbol of God’s grace;
here as one we claim the faith of Jesus:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
3. Let us build a house where love is found in water, wine, and wheat:
a banquet hall on holy ground where peace and justice meet.
Here the love of God, through Jesus, is revealed in time and space;
as we share in Christ the feast that free us:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
4. Let us build a house where hands will reach beyond the wood and stone
to heal and strengthen, serve and teach, and live the Word they’ve known.
Here the outcast and the stranger bear the image of God’s face;
let us bring an end to fear and danger:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
5. Let us build a house where all are named, their songs and visions heard
and loved and treasured, taught and claimed as words within the Word.
Built of tears and cries and laughter, prayers of faith and songs of grace,
let this house proclaim from floor to rafter:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.

Take My Life and Let It Be
Listen to this beautiful hymn here
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
Go Tell Everyone
Key: A
God's spirit is in my heart
He has called me and set me apart
This is what I have to do
What I have to do
Refrain:
Just as the Father sent me
So I'm sending you out to be
My witnesses throughout the world
The whole of the world (Ref)
He has called me and set me apart
This is what I have to do
What I have to do
Refrain:
He sent me to give the good news to the poor
Tell prisoners that they are prisoners no more
Tell blind people that they can see,
And set the downtrodden free
And go tell everyone
The news that the kingdom of God has come
Tell prisoners that they are prisoners no more
Tell blind people that they can see,
And set the downtrodden free
And go tell everyone
The news that the kingdom of God has come
And go tell everyone
The news that God's kingdom has come
Just as the Father sent me
So I'm sending you out to be
My witnesses throughout the world
The whole of the world (Ref)
#197 Praise to the Lord
Listen to the hymn here
1. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the king of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear: Now to his altar draw near,
Joining in glad adoration!
2. Praise to the Lord, who shall prosper our work and defend us;
Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend us.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
Who with his love will befriend us.
3. Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in us adore him!
All that has life and breath come now with praises before him!
Let the “Amen” sound from his people again,
Now as we worship before him!

#433 On Eagles' Wings
Listen to the song here
1. You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
who abide in his shadow for life,
say to the Lord:
1. You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
who abide in his shadow for life,
say to the Lord:
"My refuge, my rock in whom I trust!"
Refrain:
And he will raise you up on eagle's wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of his hand.
2. The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
and famine will bring you no fear:
under his wings your refuge,
his faithfulness your shield. (Ref)
3. You need not fear the terror of the night
Nor the arrow that flies by day
Though thousands fall about you
Near you it shall not come (Ref)
4. For to his angels he's given a command
to guard you in all of your ways;
upon their hands they will bear you up,
lest you dash your foot against a stone. (Ref)
Refrain:
And he will raise you up on eagle's wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,

In Bread We Bring You Lord
Listen to the hymn here
Key: F
In bread we bring you Lord, our body's' labour
In wine we offer you our spirit's grief.
We do not ask you, Lord, who is my neighbour?
But stand united now, in one belief.
Oh we have gladly heard your Word, your holy Word
And now in answer, Lord, our gifts we bring.
Our selfish hearts make true, our failing faith renew,
Our life belongs to you, our Lord and King.
The bread we offer you is blessed and broken,
And it becomes for us our spirit’s food.
Over the cup we bring, your Word is spoken;
Make it your gift to us, your healing blood.
Take all that daily toil, plants in our heart’s poor soil,
Take all we start and spoil, each hopeful dream.
The chances we have missed, the graces we resist,
Lord, in thy Eucharist, take and redeem.

Spirit Song
Listen to the song here
Key: D
O let the Son of God enfold you
With His Spirit and His love
Let Him fill your heart
And satisfy your soul
Oh let Him have the things that hold you
And His Spirit like a dove
Will descend upon your life
And make you whole
Refrain:
Jesus Oh Jesus
Come and fill Your lambs
(Repeat)
Oh let us sing this song with gladness
As our hearts are filled with joy
Lift your hands in sweet surrender
To His name
Oh give Him all your tears and sadness
Give Him all your years of pain
And you’ll enter into life

#468 Where Charity and Love Prevail
Listen to the hymn here
Where charity and love prevail,
there God is ever found;
Brought here together by Christ’s love,
by love are we thus bound.
With grateful joy and holy fear
God’s charity we learn;
Let us with heart and mind and soul
now love God in return.
Forgive we now each other’s faults
as we our faults confess;
And let us love each other well
in Christian holiness.
Let strife among us be unknown,
let all contention cease;
Be God’s the glory that we seek,
be ours God’s holy peace.
Let us recall that in our midst
dwells God’s begotten Son;
As members of his body joined,
we are in Christ made one.
No race or creed can love exclude,
if honored be God’s name;
Our family embraces all
whose Father is the same.
there God is ever found;
Brought here together by Christ’s love,
by love are we thus bound.
With grateful joy and holy fear
God’s charity we learn;
Let us with heart and mind and soul
now love God in return.

Welcome to the Family
One of the many songs I grew up with! Let's sing this with the children!
May we learn to love each other
More with each new day
May words of love be on our lips
In everything we say
May the Spirit melt our hearts
And teach us how to pray
That we might be a true family
Listen to the song here
Welcome to the family
We’re glad that you have come
To share your life with us
As we grow in love and
May we always be to you
What God would have us be
A family always there
To be strong and to lean on
We’re glad that you have come
To share your life with us
As we grow in love and
May we always be to you
What God would have us be
A family always there
To be strong and to lean on
May we learn to love each other
More with each new day
May words of love be on our lips
In everything we say
May the Spirit melt our hearts
And teach us how to pray
That we might be a true family

#625 We Are Called
Another beautiful and very meaningful song by David Hass!

1. Come! live in the light!
Shine with the joy and the love of the Lord!
We are called to be light for the kingdom,
to live in the freedom of the city of God!
Refrain: We are called to act with justice.
We are called to love tenderly.
We are called to serve one another, to walk humbly with God.
2. Come! Open your heart!
Show your mercy to all those in fear!
We are called to be hope for the hopeless,
so all hatred and blindness will be no more!
3. Sing! Sing a new song!
Sing of that great day when all will be one!
God will reign and we'll walk with each other as sisters and brothers united in love!

Because He Lives
What a beautiful song for Easter? or anytime! Listen here
God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
And then one day, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to vict'ry,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;

A praise and worship song, listen to the song here
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool

Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God

#502 Prayer of St Francis
Make me a channel of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me bring your love.
Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
And where there's doubt, true faith in you.
Refrain:
Oh Master, grant that I may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console.
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love with all my soul.
Make me a channel of your peace.
Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope.
Where there is darkness only light,
And where there's sadness ever joy (ref)
Make me a channel of your peace.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
In giving of ourselves that we receive,
And in dying that we're born to eternal life.
Where there is hatred, let me bring your love.
Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
And where there's doubt, true faith in you.
Refrain:
Oh Master, grant that I may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console.
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love with all my soul.
Make me a channel of your peace.
Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope.
Where there is darkness only light,
And where there's sadness ever joy (ref)
Make me a channel of your peace.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
In giving of ourselves that we receive,
And in dying that we're born to eternal life.
#302 Gather Us In
With gusto! Listen to the hymn here
Verse 1
Here in this place new light is streaming,
Now is the darkness vanished away,
See in this space our fears and our dreamings
Brought here to You in the light of this day.
Chorus 1
Gather us in the lost and forsaken,
Gather us in the blind and the lame;
Call to us now and we shall awaken,
We shall arise at the sound of our name.
Verse 2
We are the young our lives are a mystery,
we are the old who yearn for your face.
We have been sung throughout all of history,
Called to be light to the whole human race.
Chorus 2
Gather us in the rich and the haughty
Gather us in the proud and the strong,
Give us a heart so meek and so lowly,
Give us the courage to enter the song.
Verse 3
Here we will take the wine and the water,
Here we will take the bread of new birth,
Here you shall call your sons and your daughters,
Call us anew to be salt for the earth.
Chorus 3
Give us to drink the wine of compassion,
Give us to eat the bread that is you;
Nourish us well and teach us to fashion,
lives that are holy and hearts that are true.
Verse 4
Not in the dark of buildings confining,
Not in some heaven light years away,
But here in this place the new light is shining,
Now is the Kingdom, now is the day.
Chorus 4
Gather us in and hold us forever,
Gather us in and make us your own;
Gather us in all peoples together,
fire of love in our flesh and our bones.

All That We Have
A beautiful offertory hymn, listen to it here:
Ref:
Ref:
All that we have and all that we offer
Comes from a heart both frightened and free.
Take what we bring now and give what we need,
All done in his name.
Comes from a heart both frightened and free.
Take what we bring now and give what we need,
All done in his name.
1. Some would rely on their power,
Others put trust in their gold.
Some have only their Savior,
Whose faithfulness never grows old.
2. Sometimes the road may be lonesome,
Often we may lose our way;
Take courage and always remember
Love isn't just for a day.
3. Sometimes when troubles are many,
Life can seem empty, it's true,
But look at the life of the Master,
Who lovingly suffered for you.
Others put trust in their gold.
Some have only their Savior,
Whose faithfulness never grows old.
2. Sometimes the road may be lonesome,
Often we may lose our way;
Take courage and always remember
Love isn't just for a day.
3. Sometimes when troubles are many,
Life can seem empty, it's true,
But look at the life of the Master,
Who lovingly suffered for you.

Closing Hymn: Servant Song
Servant Song
Listen to the song here
Will you let me be your servant
Let me be as Christ to you
Pray that I might have the grace
To let you be my servant too
We are pilgrims on the journey
We are brothers on the road
We are here to help each other
Walk the mile and bear the load
I will hold the Christ light for you
In the night time of your fear
I will hold my hand out to you
Speak the the peace you long to hear.
I will weep when you are weeping
When you laugh, I'll laugh with you
I will share your joy and sorrow
Till we've seen this journey through.
When we sing to God in heaven
We shall find such harmony
Born to all we've known together
Of Christ's love and agony
Let me be as Christ to you
Pray that I might have the grace
To let you be my servant too
We are pilgrims on the journey
We are brothers on the road
We are here to help each other
Walk the mile and bear the load
I will hold the Christ light for you
In the night time of your fear
I will hold my hand out to you
Speak the the peace you long to hear.
I will weep when you are weeping
When you laugh, I'll laugh with you
I will share your joy and sorrow
Till we've seen this journey through.

Born to all we've known together
Of Christ's love and agony
#194 God We Praise You
God, we praise You! God, we bless You!
God, we name You sovereign Lord!
Mighty King whom angels worship,
Father, by Your church adored:
All creation shows Your glory,
Heav'n and earth draw near Your throne,
Singing "Holy, holy, holy,
Lord of hosts, and God alone!"
True apostles, faithful prophets,
Saints who set their world ablaze,
Martyrs, once unknown, unheeded,
Join one growing song of praise,
while Your church on earth confesses
One majestic Trinity:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
God, our hope eternally.
Jesus Christ, the king of glory,
Everlasting Son of God,
Humble was your virgin mother,
Hard the lonely path You trod:
By Your cross is sin defeated,
Hell confronted face to face,
Heaven opened to believers,
Sinners justified by grace.
Christ, at God's right hand victorious,
You will judge the world You made;
Lord, in mercy help Your servants
For whose freedom You have paid:
Raise us up from dust to glory,
Guard us from all sin today.
King enthroned above all praises,
Save Your people, God, we pray.
God, we name You sovereign Lord!
Mighty King whom angels worship,
Father, by Your church adored:
All creation shows Your glory,
Heav'n and earth draw near Your throne,
Singing "Holy, holy, holy,

#195 Holy God, We Praise Thy Name
Another majestic praise to our dear Lord God! Listen to the hymn here
Holy God, we praise Thy Name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee!
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in Heaven above adore Thee;
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.
Hark! the loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising,
Cherubim and seraphim,
In unceasing chorus praising;
Fill the heavens with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord.
Holy Father, Holy Son,
Holy Spirit, Three we name Thee;
While in essence only One,
Undivided God we claim Thee;
And adoring bend the knee,
While we own the mystery.
Holy God, we praise Thy Name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee!
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in Heaven above adore Thee;
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.
Hark! the loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising,

#624 Whatsoever You Do
Listen to the song here
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
When I was hungry you gave me to eat;
When I was thirsty you gave me to drink.
Now enter into the home of my Father.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
When I was homeless you opened your door;
When I was naked you gave me your coat.
Now enter into the home of my Father.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
When I was weary, you helped me find rest.
When I was anxious you calmed all my fears.
Now enter into the home of my Father.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
When in a prison you came to my cell;
When on a sickbed you cared for my needs.
Now enter into the home of my Father.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
When I was laughed at, you stood by my side.
When I was happy, you shared in my joy.
Now enter into the home of my Father.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.
Whatsoever you do to the least of My people That you do unto Me.

Come Be My Light (Mother Teresa)
Refrain:
Come be my light, come and shine in the homes of the poor.
Come be my light, for I cannot go there alone.
Come be my light, for the poor will then know me in you.
What you ask, O my Jesus, calls for more than I can bear.
I am weak , O my Jesus, find a stronger soul than mine. (ref)
I’m afraid, O my Jesus, do not let me be deceived.
Give me light, O my Jesus, send your Spirit as my help. (ref)
I am yours, O my Jesus, do whatever is your wish.
What you take, O my Jesus, is the reason for my love. (ref)
In your thirst, O my Jesus, for the souls your heart desires.
You reach out, O my Jesus, through my hands and through my words. (ref)
Let me share, O my Jesus, in the suff’ring of the poor.
Only then, O my Jesus, will my work reveal your face. (ref)

Come with Praise
Another lovely song shared by Sr Acacia:
Refrain:
Come with Praise
People of God
Come with your hearts thanksgiving
Sing for joy, house of the Lord
Sing of your bounteous blessing.
Come you poor of the land
All who live with hearts of hunger
Come and taste the love of the Lord
And you will be filled. (ref.)
Come you captives of fear
All who bear the yoke of hatred
God has heard the cry of your soul
And broken your chains. (ref.)
Come you wounded and worn
All who know the face of sorrow
God will heal the pain of your heart
And gladden your soul. (ref.)

All the ends of the earth, all you creatures of the sea,
Lift up your eyes to the wonders of the Lord.
For the Lord of the earth, the Master of the sea,
Has come with justice for the world.

The wonders He has done in every age!
2...Heaven and earth shall rejoice in His might,
Every heart, every nation call Him Lord!

Listen to the song here
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
praise him, all creatures here below;
praise him above, ye heavenly host;
praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
From all that dwell below the skies
Let the Creator's praise arise!
Let the Redeemer's name be sung
Through every land and every one
Eternal are thy mercies Lord
And truth eternal is thy word
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore
Till suns shall rise and set no more

#382 The Summons
This could potentially be a suitable hymn for Confirmation:
Listen to the hymn here.
Will you come and follow me if I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know and never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown? Will you let my name be known,
will you let my life be grown in you and you in me?
Will you leave yourself behind if I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind and never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare should your life attract or scare?
Will you let me answer prayer in you and you in me?
Will you let the blinded see if I but call your name?
Will you set the prisoners free and never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean and do such as this unseen,
and admit to what I mean in you and you in me?
Will you love the "you" you hide if I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same?
Will you use the faith you've found to reshape the world around,
through my sight and touch and sound in you and you in me?
Lord your summons echoes true when you but call my name.
Let me turn and follow you and never be the same.
In Your company I'll go where Your love and footsteps show.
Thus I'll move and live and grow in you and you in me.
Listen to the hymn here.

#671 Loving and Forgiving
Something to ponder on while listening to this song: from Luke 7:47:
”Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Listen to the song here.
Refrain:
Loving and forgiving are You, O Lord; slow to anger,
rich in kindness, loving and forgiving are You.
(1) All my being, bless the Lord, bless the holy name of God.
All my being, bless the Lord, remembering the goodness of God. (R)

#635 Morning Has Broken
Listen to the song here.
Key: C
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's re-creation of the new day

Everyday God
One of our favourites, thanks to Sr Acacia who shared this song with us. Sing alternately with a cantor:
Earth's creator, Everyday God,
Loving Maker, O Jesus,
You who shaped us, O Spirit,
Recreate us, Come, be with us.
In your presence, Everyday God,
We are gathered, O Jesus,
You have called us, O Spirit,
To restore us, Come, be with us.
Life of all lives, Everyday God,
Love of all loves, O Jesus,
Hope of all hopes, O Spirit,
Light of all lights, Come, be with us.
In our resting, Everyday God,
In our rising, O Jesus,
In our hoping, O Spirit,
In our waiting, Come, be with us.
In our dreaming, Everyday God,
In our daring, O Jesus,
In our searching, O Spirit,
In our sharing, Come, be with us.
God of laughter, Everyday God,
God of sorrow, O Jesus,
Home and shelter, O Spirit,
Strong and patient, Come, be with us.
Way of freedom, Everyday God,
Star of morning, O Jesus,
Timeless healer, O Spirit,
Flame eternal, Come, be with us.
Word of gladness, Everyday God,
Word of mercy, O Jesus,
Word of friendship, O Spirit,
Word of challenge, Come, be with us.
Gentle father, Everyday God,
Faithful brother, O Jesus,
Tender sister, O Spirit.
Loving mother, Come, be with us.
Our beginning, Everyday God,
Our unfolding, O Jesus,
Our enduring, O Spirit,
Journey's ending, Come, be with us.
Alleluia, Everyday God,
Now and always, O Jesus,
Alleluia, O Spirit,
Through all ages, Come, be with us.

Shine Jesus Shine
1. Lord, the light of your love is shining,
in the midst of the darkness, shining.
Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us.
Set us free by the truth you now bring us.
Shine on me, shine on me.
Refrain
Shine, Jesus, shine;
fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze;
set out hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow;
flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth your Word, Lord,
and let there be light.
2. Lord, I come to your awesome presence,
from the shadows into your radiance.
By the blood I may enter your brightness.
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness.
Shine on me, shine on me.
in the midst of the darkness, shining.
Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us.
Set us free by the truth you now bring us.
Shine on me, shine on me.
Refrain
Shine, Jesus, shine;
fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze;
set out hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow;
flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth your Word, Lord,
and let there be light.
2. Lord, I come to your awesome presence,
from the shadows into your radiance.
By the blood I may enter your brightness.
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness.
Shine on me, shine on me.
Spirit of God
Spirit of God in the clear running water
Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill.
Spirit of God in the finger of morning:
Fill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill.
Spirit of God in the finger of morning:
Fill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Down in the meadow the willows are moaning
Sheep in the pasture land cannot lie still.
Spirit of God, creation is groaning:
Fill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Sheep in the pasture land cannot lie still.
Spirit of God, creation is groaning:
Fill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Spirit of God every man's heart is lonely
Watching and waiting and hungry until
Spirit of God, man longs that you only
Fulfill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Watching and waiting and hungry until
Spirit of God, man longs that you only
Fulfill the earth, bring it to birth,
And blow where you will.
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.

Mass Hymns - 9th June 2013
Entrance Hymn: #559 Praise my Soul, the King of Heaven
To His feet Thy tribute bring!
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
Ever more His praises sing;
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise the everlasting King!
Praise Him for His grace and favour,
To his children in distress!
Praise Him still the same as ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Glorious in His faithfulness!
Father-like, He tends and spares us;
Well our feeble frame He knows.
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Widely as His mercy flows!
Angels, help us to adore Him;
You behold Him face to face:
Sun and moon, bow down before Him;
In His holy dwelling place,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise with us the God of grace!
Offertory Hymn: Take and Receive
Communion Hymn: #377 Here I am Lord
1) I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send? (Ref)
Ref:
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.
2) I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have born my peoples pain.
I have wept for love of them, They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them,
Whom shall I send? (Ref)
3) I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them,
My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide,
Till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give My life to them,
Whom shall I send? (Ref)

Closing Hymn: Amazing Grace (in key of D)
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

O what could my Jesus do more
This is Blessed Mother Teresa's favourite song - so simple yet so beautiful. Listen to the song from here:
1. 0 what could my Jesus do more, or what greater blessing impart
0 silence my soul and adore and press him still nearer my heart
Tis here from my labours, I'll rest.
Since he makes my poor heart His abode.
To Him all my cares I'll address and speak to the heart of my God.
2. In life and in death Thou art mine
My savior I'm sealed with thy blood.
Till eternity on me doth shine,
I'll live on the flesh of my God.
In Jesus triumphant I'll live. In Jesus triumphant I'll die.
The terrors of death calmly brave in His bosom breathe out my out my last sigh.
3. How deep and how rich is thy love.
So gently consuming my life
May no one and nothing on earth
ever separate me from thy love.
Jesus my Lord and my all.
Only one thing you are asking from me.
To give my whole self unto thee, in all of my poverty.
1. 0 what could my Jesus do more, or what greater blessing impart
0 silence my soul and adore and press him still nearer my heart
Tis here from my labours, I'll rest.

Glory and Praise to our God
Listen here
Refrain
Glory and praise to our God,
who alone gives light to our days.
Many are the blessings he bears
to those who trust in his ways.
1. We, the daughters and sons of him
who built the valleys and plains,
praise the wonders our God has done
in ev’ry heart that sings.
2. In his wisdom he strengthens us,
like gold that’s tested in fire.
Though the power of sin prevails,
our God is there to save.
3. Ev’ry moment of ev’ry day
our God is waiting to save,
always ready to seek the lost,
to answer those who pray.
4. God has watered our barren land
and spent his merciful rain.
Now the rivers of life run full
for anyone to drink.

Glory and praise to our God,

Bring Forth the Kingdom
You are salt for the earth, O people,
salt for the city of God!
Share the flavor of life, O people:
life in the kingdom of God!
Bring forth the kingdom of mercy,
bring forth the kingdom of peace.
Bring forth the kingdom of justice,
bring forth the city of God!
You are a light on the hill, O people,
light for the city of God!
Shine so holy and bright, O people:
shine for the kingdom of God!
You are a seed of the word, O people,
bring forth the kingdom of God!
Seeds of mercy and seeds of justice,
grow in the kingdom of God!
Jesus You are Bread for us
Refrain
Jesus, you are bread for us.
Jesus, you are life for us.
In your gift of Eucharist we find love.
1. When we feel we need a friend
you are there with us, Jesus.
Thank you for the friend you are.
Thank you for the love we share.
2. When we feel that we need love
you are there with us, Jesus.
Thank you for the friend you are.
Thank you for the love we share.
3. When we feel that things aren’t fair
you are there with us, Jesus.
Thank you for the friend you are.
Thank you for the love we share.
4. In communion we believe
you are there with us, Jesus.
Thank you for the friend you are.
Thank you for the love we share.
Take and Receive
Take and receive, O Lord, my liberty
Take all my will, my mind, my memory
All things I hold and all I own are
Thine
Thine was the gift, to Thee I all resign
Do Thou direct and govern all and sway
Do what Thou wilt, command, and I obey
Only Thy grace, Thy love on me bestow
These make me rich, all else will I
forego.
Praise to the Lord the Almighty
1. Praise to the Lord,

All ye who hear,
now to his temple draw near;
join me in glad adoration!
2. Praise to the Lord!
O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again;
gladly forever adore him.
the Almighty, the King of creation.
O my soul, praise him,
for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
now to his temple draw near;
join me in glad adoration!
2. Praise to the Lord!
O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again;
gladly forever adore him.
